Scott McLennan Secures U18s Assistant Coach Role at Celtic FC
- The UEFA A Licence holder has coaching experience in Scotland and England, having previously worked with Fleetwood Town FC and Heart of Midlothian FC
Student of the game Scott McLennan has taken the next step forward in his career after landing a role as U18s Assistant Coach within the powerhouse Academy of Scottish champions Celtic.
Football Careers client Scott’s dedication to his craft began when he earned a BA in Sport Studies at Stirling University 12 years ago.
That sparked an intertwined journey of education on and off the field for the UEFA A Licence holder, who became a fixture in the Academy at Scottish Premiership club Heart of Midlothian.
McLennan stayed on course academically at Napier University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Developing Elite Athletes through Professional Practice as his learning on the grass continued.
He moved to English League One club Fleetwood Town in July 2021 and shone there in the role of Lead Coach with the U16s while also aiding other areas of the club.
This year, Scott has secured his Masters in Advanced Football Coaching from the University of South Wales and his continued growth has now been sealed with a return north to Celtic.
