Paul Dixon Secures a New Position within Dundee United FC's Academy
- The UEFA A Licence holder has been appointed Individual Coach Analyst, having previously been Head Coach of the club's U16s
Paul Dixon has been appointed to a new role in Dundee United FC’s Academy as a full-time Individual Coach Analyst.
The 36-year-old Football Careers client, a UEFA A Licence holder, was a huge favourite at the Scottish Premiership club as a player with his wand of a left foot from full-back making him an accomplished operator in the top flight in his homeland.
Dixon played 146 times for the Terrors in two excellent spells in the famous tangerine jersey in a career that would span over 550 professional games and also took in stints at Dundee, Huddersfield, Grimsby and Falkirk.
Capped three times for Scotland, when Paul hung up his boots he elected to go down the Academy route, at first with United’s Premiership rivals Heart of Midlothian where the Under-16s side had the benefit of all that hard-earned experience at the sharp end of the game.
The lure of Tannadice was strong, though, and Paul first returned to Tayside in the same role as Head Coach of the Under-16s.
Now the Football Careers client’s body of work there has been recognised by the United hierarchy with an intriguing new role in the Academy as he looks ahead to more career growth in 2023.
