Football Careers are thrilled to announce that client Jess Ibrom has been appointed Head Coach of the Men’s team at Football Federation Samoa. He was most recently Head of Football Development & National Advanced Coach Developer at Southern Football in New Zealand.
In his previous role he was tasked with enhancing coach education throughout the region of Central Otago in New Zealand, as well as supporting and enhancing club development and enhancing talent development programs.
Jess brings with him a wealth of experience to his new role, having also been National Academy Director & National Coach Developer and National Team Men’s Head Coach at the Cook Islands Football Association. He has also previously worked for Football Federation Samoa as National Technical Director, where he drove the direction of the national federation through strategic alignment programs. His experience and knowledge of the region and the players and culture within it make him the ideal candidate to be Samoa’s head coach.
He is committed to furthering himself, and that’s evidenced by his certificates and qualifications, which includes holding his UEFA A Licence and Oceania Football Confederation A Licence. Jess is also held in high regard by his peers, with Malky MacKay (Hibernian FC Sporting Director) stating that:
“Jess Ibrom has made a significant contribution to football through his ongoing involvement at the International level as a technical director and I would have no hesitation recommending him to an elite performance role.”
We’re excited to watch the development of Samoan men’s football with Jess as their head coach and wish them all the best in the future.
