Football Careers News: Craig Picks Up New Role; Queen’s Park Hire New Assistants
- Liam Craig appointed Assistant Manager at Hibernian
- Queen's Park hire Steven Maclean and Barry Nicholson as Assistants to Callum Davidson
Football Careers client Liam Craig has been hired by SPFL side Hibernian as their new assistant manager. He had most recently been First Team Coach at Queen’s Park – where he spent 6 months.
Craig returns to the Edinburgh club where he spent two years as a player, also having spells at Ipswich, Falkirk and St Johnstone. His post-playing career has seen him predominantly work for St Johnstone, as a Player Development Manager, Player Loans Manager and First Team Coach.
His experience and hard work will see him be a valuable addition to David Gray’s backroom staff and Football Careers wish him and the club all the success.
Football Careers are delighted to say that both Steven Maclean and Barry Nicholson will be joining Scottish Championship side Queen’s Park as Assistants. The Glasgow based club finished 8th last season and will be looking for improvement.
The move for Maclean sees him join up with previous boss Callum Davidson, who – at St Johnstone – won the League and Scottish Cup together. The move for Nicholson also sees him reunited with Davidson, as they both spent time at English side Preston North End together.
We’re extremely excited at Football Careers for both Maclean, Nicholson and Queen’s Park, and we wish them all the success in the coming season.
