Andy Quy Appointed Huddersfield Goalkeeping Coach
- Quy was most recently at Major League Soccer side Charlotte F.C.
- He will be First Team Goalkeeping Coach at the League One outfit
Football Careers are happy to announce that client Andy Quy has been appointed First Team Goalkeeping Coach at Huddersfield Town. Quy will lead on the design, delivery and review of appropriate training sessions for the first team goalkeepers, advise on squad selections based on both training and game performance and be proactive in the identification and recruitment of talented young goalkeepers.
Quy is a former goalkeeper himself, beginning his youth career at Tottenham Hotspur and predominantly playing for Hereford United, where he made over 70 appearances. His playing career was unfortunately cut short due to injury but has since established himself as an extremely talented and qualified goalkeeping coach with a wealth of experience.
He has had spells at Derby County, Aston Villa, Lincoln City, Stoke, Brentford, Burton Albion and Charlotte FC in the MLS in a range of different roles including a spell as part of the interim coaching team at Charlotte as an assistant coach to Christian Lattanzio.
We believe Andy’s experience, talent and work ethic make him the perfect choice for Huddersfield’s goalkeeping coach and wish him and the club all the best as they seek to return to the Championship at the first time of asking from League One.
